The football community comprises of Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus and other religions as well as atheists.

Known to be one of the best goalkeepers in the current generation, Alisson Becker has proved to be one of the faithful Christians in world football. The Brazil first choice goalkeeper was born in Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul Brazil on October 2 1992.

Moreover, the Liverpool goal stopper has affiliated himself to Catholics and is very evangelical. Alisson is 27 years old and a baptist who in 2020 baptized his teammate Roberto Firmino. After joining Liverpool from AS Roma, Alisson Becker has clinched major trophies and individual honours. In addition, he also baptised the wife of Manchester United’s Fred this year.

Alisson Becker clinched the inaugural Yachin Award 2019. This made him the best goalkeeper in the world.

In addition, after Alisson’s stellar performance in 2019, he won the Samba Award. This award made him the first goalkeeper to win the Brazilian European Football of the Year. Moreover, he was the first goalkeeper to win three golden gloves in a calendar year. Alisson made that glory in the Uefa Champions League, Premier League and Copa America.
