Akua Donkor issues claims regarding the breach of constitution if John Mahama is elected President

Politician and founder of Ghana Freedom Party, Akua Donkor, has made another sounding claim regarding the 2020 general election.

Akua Donkor has claimed that the National Democratic Congress should not give their flagbearership to John Mahama. Explaining further, she said the governance of Ghana is not a “Sankofa” and hence not an avenue for correcting mistakes.

She made it known that the constitution of Ghana states that no person can spend more than 8 years on the presidency. Moreover, Akua Donkoh stated that if John Mahama is elected as President for the next four years, Ghanaians would have not been fair to the constitution.

John Mahama spent about six months in 2012 before being voted in as president. From checks, he has spent four-and-half years as president.

The founder of the Ghana Freedom Party also stated that John Mahama is the luckiest president in Ghana. She continued by saying that, it was the death of the late John Evans Atta Mills that brought his into the limelight.

The 2020 general election is imminent and political parties ate preparing adequately towards the highly-expected event.

Akua Donkor revealed that she is planning to launch her manifesto very soon.
