The residents of Obom in the Ga South Municipal Assembly of the Greater Accra Region have become very angry. They have gathered at the Obom Polyclinic and attacked health workers due to their unaccepted behaviors.

The residents have shifted blames on the health workers for their unprofessional conduct. Their alleged conduct has led to the death of a 35-year-old politician.

The 35-year-old politician who lost his life has been identified as Adjin Lartey. He was the Constituency Youth Organiser of the opposition NDC in the Obom Domeabra Constituency before his demise.

It has been revealed that the deceased was sent to the health centre at about 5am on Saturday August 22, 2020, for emergency. The residents have revealed that the nurses paid less attention to Adjin Laryea as some were playing with their mobile phones. The 35-year-old lost his life after some fews hours o that Saturday morning.

NDC oficial dead at Obom

Addressing the unfortunate incident, the Member of Parliament for the Obom Domeabra Constituency, Sophia Ackuaku, revealed that the constituency is yet to be allocated with an ambulance under the government’s one-constituency-one-ambulance policy.

In conclusion, she stated that they have lacked an ambulance to transport emergency cases to the right centers.
