Asare Bediako resigns as assistant coach of Hearts of Oak


Former Berekum Chelsea coach, Joseph Asare Bediako, has resigned as assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, effective 11th February 2021, because of what he terms “circumstances beyond my control”.

The Phobians appointed Bediako to fill the vacant role at the beginning of the current season and has spent only three months at the club.

In a letter addressed to management of the club, he says he’s grateful for the opportunity to work with the club in the short spell.

“I wish to resign as the assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak SC, effective from this day 11th of February 2021 due to circumstances beyond my control,” he stated, as quoted by

He added: “I am very grateful to all stakeholders of the club and I am honoured for being part of the Phobian family for my three months stay with the club.”

He initially worked with Edward Nii Odoom before the arrival of Kosta Papic.
