John Mahama denies sharing money to NDC supporters in Berekum

Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has denied the claims that he shared monies to NDC supporters in Berekum in the Bono Region.

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress in the 2020 General Election visited the Bono Region on Monday, September 25, 2020.

Claims were made by some people about the unusual crowd pulled by John Mahama in the Bono Region. Moreover, others reported that the former president shared money to gain a large crowd during his visit.

The spokesperson of John Dramani Mahama, James Agyenim-Boateng, the reports concerning the sharing of money by the NDC was false. He stated that the claims were made due to the desperation on the part of some political parties. he also stated that they are manufactured lies and contain no truth.

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng made it known that John Mahama’s act of kindness being capitalized upon by some political parties. He said that the only thing that was shared for the crowd was the NDC branded t-shirts and nose masks. He stated the sharing is done during his regional tour in all parts of the country.

The former Deputy Information Minister furthermore urged Ghanaians to disregard such comments and claims.
