Man dies after heavy rainfall at Kpone-Katamanso


The heavy downpour on Wednesday, October 8, 2020, has caused the death of a man at the Kpone-Katamanso in the Greater Accra Region.

A young man, Yaw Asante, who was the victim is in the age range of the 40s. He died in a storm drain as a result of the heavy rainfall that hit Kakasunanka Number one in the Kpone-Katamansu Municipality.

The body of the deceased was found after the heavy downpour came to an end. A resident in the area revealed that the scene was near a church in the area. He also stated that Yaw Asante was found dead, wearing a T-shirt and black trousers.

“He was found dead near the Full Gospel Church in the Kpone area. He was in black trousers and a T-shirt to match, with blood oozing from his face and other body parts.”

The Police preceded to the scene and have deposited the corpse at the morgue of the Tema General Hospital. Further investigations are ongoing at the Emefs/Mataheko Police Station while they wait for the autopsy report from the hospital.
