Man grabbed for attempting to smuggle wee into police cells

The Kaneshie Police Station has grabbed a young boy who allegedly attempted to smuggle cannabis (wee) into the police cells.

Police have found out that the boy is 21 years of age and was going to visit his friend in the police cells at Kaneshie. Reports indicate that Nuruden Arafat allegedly concealed some quantity of cannabis, quantities of amphetamines, a packet of cigarettes, a lighter and diazepam tablets in an empty water sachet bag.

Nuruden Arafat is currently in the custody of the police, aiding in investigation. The Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Command confirmed the authenticity of the issue. She stated that, on Friday September 25, 2020, around 6:00 pm, Nuruden visited the police station.

Moreover, she revealed that the incident happened at the Kaneshie Police Station. Also, she added to give some goods to an inmate who has been apprehended and is on remand for robbery.

The Regional PRO stated that the illegal chemicals were found in the goods which Nuruden brought for his friend. In conclusion, the Police have sent the chemicals to the forensic lab for proper checks as investigations proceed.
