Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire, has been apprehended by the Greek police after he allegedly bust-up with two policemen.
The 27-year-old is currently in fully cooperation with the Greek police. The media in England have reported that Maguire was arrested following an alleged fight with two policemen on Thursday night. Reports in Greece claimed the incident happened in Mykonos in Greece.
Manchester United football club has issued a statement following the reports which stated: “The club is aware of an alleged incident involving our captain, Harry Maguire, in Mykonos last night. Contact has been made with Harry Maguire, who is fully in cooperating with the Greek authorities.”
Manchester United have allowed their squad to go on holiday and are set to return in the early months of September. Their first game which should have been played with Burnley has been postponed due to the their Europa league games.
Harry Maguire was signed by Manchester United and is the most expensive defender of all time. He moved to Old Trafford last summer in an £80 million ($105m) move from Leicester City.
Although his performance was not at it best, he led Manchester United into three semi-finals; Carabao Cup, Europa League, and FA Cup.
