Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has reminded President Akufo-Addo of the spiritual intervention that he made to save his life in the past.
According to him, if not for his intervention, the president would have died in a plane crash.
Reacting to the new order placed on prophecy by the Police administration, the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International asked President Akufo-Addo not to downplay the importance of prophecy since it once saved his life.
He also added that he once intervened to avert a car crash that could have claimed the life of Vice President Bawumia. But for the revelation he got from God and the timely intervention he made, the President and his Vice would have died, he asserted.
On the back of that Owusu Bempah added that the directive by the Inspector General of Police, Dampare to restrict and guide the prophetic utterances of prophets was not well thought-through.
According to him, the IGP should have considered the views of those in the prophetic ministry before the directive was passed.
His reaction comes on the back of a police communique that announced that a prophet or religious organization could be prosecuted if a prophecy made by an individual was not properly substantiated.
Per the police statement, any prophecy that creates fear and alarm will eventually result in the arrest of the prophet or the leader of the religious organization.
