NDC Vice-Chair under investigation over alleged chaos creation in December 7 election


Ghana Police Service is probing Alhaji Said Sinare, NDC National Vice-Chair, over the alleged supply of guns for chaos in the December 7 elections. There have been some allegations leveled against the NDC executive by the Ayawaso North NDC Chairman, Tahiru Ahmed.

Alhaji Said Sinare, National Vice-Chairman of the biggest opposition party has reported the Ayawaso North NDC chairman to the party. He informed the leadership of the National Democratic Congress to consider disciplinary action Tahiru Ahmed.

Tahiru Ahmed lodged a complaint to the Regional Police Command over Sinare’s supplying guns to him for chaos in the upcoming elections. Hence, a letter has been addressed to the NDC Party Vice-Chairman on October 27, 2020.

The letter stated. “According to his accusations filed with the police and the AK 47 gun produced, I gave him those guns to be used in the Northern Region during the national elections in the 2020 general elections to intimidate NPP voters.”

On reacting to the news, Alhaji Sinare reported the incident to the NDC National executives. He stated that there is a need for disciplinary actions to be taken against the Ayawaso North chairman. Moreover, he stated that the ND should exclude the constituency chairman from the party’s election strategies.

The two, according to reports have worked together for over 8 years. In conclusion, the police are investigating the matter with great interest.
