Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly called General Mosquito, has stated that the National Democratic Congress will win the 2020 general election. He is the current general secretary of the strongest opposition party in the country.
According to him, Ghanaians have tested the fate of the New Patriotic Party and are ready to switch government. Asiedu Nketia stated that the poor performance of the NPP government will reflect in the election results. He stated that the change Ghanaians want will soon become a reality.
General Mosquito revealed that there is no way the Electoral Commission can alter the election results. He stated that if the EC did, the people of Ghana will rise and fight for their sovereignty to reign.
“We are not going to lose in the elections, let me tell you. If we win the election, the nation will declare us as victors and there is nothing the Electoral Commission can do.” Asiedu Nketia disclosed in an interview.
Moreover, the NDC general secretary sighted an example with what happened in Cote D’ivoire. General Mosquito stated that the citizens voted for Alhassan Watara but the constitutional court declared Gbagbo as winner for the election. He added that, because they knew that Alhassan Watara was the winner, the judges had to relocate to Ghana.
In conclusion, Asiedu Nketia said it took the intervention of the late Atta Mills to get the judges to go back to declare Watara winner of the election.
