New Barcelona signing Pjanic tests positive for Covid-19

Former Juventus midfield gem, Miralem Pjanic, has contracted COVID-19 as he has tested positive for the virus. He is out of the pre-season squad to play their games.

The news broke after the Spanish side, Barcelona, made the announcement. Barcelona tested all its players and staff as a means to ensure safety as they are set to begin their pre-season preparations.

Miralem Pjanic is from Bosnia and Herzegovina in Europe and he helped Juventus to clinch the 2019/2020 Serie A trophy. During the middle of the season, a swap deal was initiated by Barcelona and juventus. The deal agreed that Brazilian midfielder, Arthur Melo will be moving to the Italian champions while Pjanic also goes to the Camp Nou.

The 30-year-old Bosnian international who has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe is currently on 15-day self-isolation at home. He will join Barcelona playing team after he tests negative and is safe to play.
