Police chase Gyan brothers for assaulting tennis player


Baffour Gyan and Asamoah Gyan are in the search books of the police for allegedly assaulting a tennis player. The victim identified as Godwin Marfo is a Chief Executive Officer of Web Soft Solutions.

Reports suggest that both Baffour Gyan and Godwin Marfo were present for a tennis training match which involved Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s all-time top scorer.

A police report showed that Baffuor Gyan slapped and hit the left shoulder of 35-year-old Godwin Marfo. The training match took place on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

Godwin Marfo after feeling he was treated unfairly by the Gyan brothers, tried quitting the game due to the treatment by the Gyan brothers. Contrastingly when he decided to complain, he was then assaulted by Gyan.

Police issued a medical form for the victim to seek medical attention at the 37 military hospital. The medical report by the 37 Military Hospital in Accra showed that the victim had no severe physical injuries. In Godwin’s reaction to the reports, he expressed his shock for that report. He has since been referred to seek psychological attention from a psychologist.

In conclusion, the Gyan brothers have some questions to answer in relation to the claims of Godwin Marfo.
