Student killed in motorbike accident at Beposo

On Monday, August 24, 2020, a 16-year-old student of the Ghana Muslim Mission Senior High School at Beposo in the Sekyere Central District lost his life from a motorbike accident on the outskirts of the town.

The deceased has been identified as Kwabena Wiredu. He lost his life at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. As the accident happened, he was immediately rushed to the emergency department of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but died on admission.

An officer from the Beposo Police Station, Inspector Agyare Frank, revealed that the accident occurred at the town’s outskirts. He stated that the deceased was riding a motorbike together with a friend but unfortunately skidded off the road and ran into a ditch.

Both Agyare Frank and his friend sustained multiple injuries. They were rushed to the Beposo Health Centre but the deceased condition was very critical. Initially, he was transferred to the Asante Mampong Government Hospital. He was again rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he died later.

His friend Peter Mensah, has responded to treatment and has been discharged at the Beposo Health Centre. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for autopsy reports.
