Sulley Muniru close to joining Asante Kotoko


Asante Kotoko is set to complete the signing of the younger brother of Sulley Muntari, Sulley Muniru in the ongoing transfer window.

The Ashanti -based club is strengthening its weak spots for the resumption of the CAF Champions League and Ghana Premier League. According to reports, Sulley Ali Muniru is out of contract with FC Tambov in Russia and Kotoko is hoping to grab the opportunity to sign the 27-year-old midfielder.

The former Liberty Professionals player will join the Porcupine Warriors as a free agent as he has agreed on personal terms with Asante Kotoko.

According to some reports, the quest for Justice Blay will no more happen after Sulley Muniru’s deal is completed. Justice lay could return to his parent club Medeama, after a successful loan spell.

Sulley Ali Muniru has featured for the likes of Cluj, Steaua Bucharest, Tondela, Yeni Malatyaspor, Dinamo Minsk, and Tambov.

Moreover, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has completed the signings of Patrick Asmah, Yusif Mubarak, and Emmanuel Keyekeh.

Meanwhile, Sulley Muniru’s elder brother, Sulley Ali Muntari is also on the radar of Kotoko’s rivals, Hearts of Oak. Asamoah Gyan could also join Kotoko as the Ghana Premier League hopes to welcome the good old faces.
