Shadrack stated, “I defected to New Patriotic Party because the government of Akufo-Addo has really proved that the NPP is pro-poor. They have better policies to alleviate the suffering the poor. I live in a very poor farming community and I have seen the impacts of the government on farmers. Cocoa farmers have been supported with government policies, as well as the poor and everyone in the community.”

“Talking of youth employment, many youths in my constituency have been recruited into the government’s youth in afforestation policy.”

Moreover, he commended Nana Akufo-Addo for his initiatives for his community and Ghana as a whole. “You check the developmental initiatives of Akufo-Addo’s NPP and their policies and you just have to commend President Akufo-Addo. The big difference between NPP and NDC is that just after one week of defecting to the NPP, I have been able to assist some youth from the constituency to get work as forest officers. Hence, I fully support the current government,” Shadrack said.
