Anas’ latest expose which was dubbed, ” Cashing in on COVID” has received some reactions on social media. The documentary exposed some two staff of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital). The two staff were engaged in the selling of some personal protection equipment for their personal benefits.
The latest twist of the whole incident is that the hospital has stated that the exposé is not entirely true. This has led to the reactions of many Ghanaian social media users.
Ghanaians have reacted diversely to the exposé on social media. Although some people think of the investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ investigation was just god, others think it is not credible enough. The personnel who were exposed were Thomas Osei and Divine Kumodzi. They are the staff of the hospital who were selling personal protective equipment that was in short supply.
However, the hospital released a statement indicating that the personal protection equipment were actually not for the hospital, and the doctors had their rights to them but not to sell in the hospital.
