Two People Loose Their Lives In A Road Accident At Sege

An unfortunate road accident at Sege in the Greater Accra Region has claimed the lives of two passengers. Road accidents in the past weeks have been frequent which is very disturbing.

The two deceased persons have been identified as Anita Shaw Aggrey and Andy Lawson. The unfortunate incident took place when the passengers in a Mercedes Sprinter was travelling from Accra to Aflao. The sprinter with registration number GE 4949-11 collided with a Kia Rio saloon car with registration number GB 2845.

Moreover, it was confirmed that a total number of 23 passengers were on board in the Sprinter bus. Unfortunately, all the passengers in the bus sustained injuries ranging from minor ones to critical ones. Also, with the help of other people, the injured people were immediately rushed to the Sege Polyclinic and Ada East District Hospital.

The bodies of the two deceased persons were deposited at the Ada East District Hospital mortuary pending autopsy.

From the reports of the Tema Police Service, the tire of the Sprinter bus got burst and caused the driver to lose control. Also, the Police PRO stated that the Sprinter bus veered to the other lane of the road, causing the accident.

In conclusion, she made it known that both drivers are amongst the people under care in the hospitals.
