Usain Bolt tests positive for COVID-19

The fastest athlete in the world, Usain Bolt, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is under self-quarantine.

The breaking news was revealed by one Jamaican radio presenter and this came just after a few days of his birthday. He celebrated his 34th birthday on August 21, 2020, which had the attendance of great stars around the world. Manchester City’s attacker, Raheem Sterling and Bayer Leverkusen player, Leon Bailey, were all in attendance.

The news was confirmed by the Jamaican health minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton. The minister revealed the test result status of the fastest man. Usain Bolt has been instructed to undergo self-isolation to prevent further spread of the virus.

Usain Bolt’s condition has raised several concerns on the status of Raheem Sterling and Leon Bailey who both attended the birthday party. It was later confirmed that Sterling tested negative in Jamaica, making him fit for England football matches.

Usain Bolt is popularly known for his sporting life as he has won the Olympic gold medal for eight times. He also holds 19 Guinness World Records to his name. Bolt won the 100-metre race with just 9.58 seconds.

The Jamaican athlete stated on his social media page, “Just waking up, and like everybody else, I checked social media which is saying I am confirmed to have COVID-19. I am trying to be responsible so I am going to stay in and stay here for my friends. I am going to quarantine myself and wait on the confirmation to see what is the protocol and how I should go about quarantining myself”
