The senior human resources manager is in charge of giving management and staff proactive and strategic HR consultation, advice, and knowledge. In order to identify needs, evaluate risks and requirements, and develop solutions, this job collaborates with internal clients.
In addition to participating in unique projects or initiatives, this role collaborates and consults with other members of the Human Resources team as well as internal and external stakeholders on a variety of HR functions, related operations, and issues, such as employee and labor relations, learning and development, recruitment, classification, and compensation. This person functions as a culture and brand ambassador for the organization and ensures compliance with policies, schedules and all applicable legislation.

Key Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Recruitment and Retention
Develop and keep an up-to-date library of job profiles, job descriptions and organizational charts
- Employee and Labour Relations
Provide advice and coaching to managers and/or employees regarding HR services and programs
- HRIS & Organizational Development
Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve the organization’s policies, procedures, and metrics, ensuring they’re consistently aligned with all applicable requirements and laws
- Training & Development
Develop, source and deliver training programs and provide advice and resources on training/ education/ career development options
- Health & Safety
Actively participate in health and safety initiatives and take a lead role in safety optimization
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 education or equivalent. Post-secondary education in a CHRM or related program. CHRP designation would be an asset.
- Equivalent experience would include five to seven years of experience in similar role, preferably in an industry setting for a large organization, with hands on knowledge of full cycle recruitment, employee and labour relations, compensation and benefits, legislation compliance, HRIS and sound knowledge of handling employee relationship matters.
- Excellent computer skills with high level of proficiency in MS office and HRIS including ADP. Superior organizational, interpersonal and verbal, written communication skills. Experience of working in a team environment and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Accuracy in preparing and providing information to Management and employees. High degree of initiative, diplomacy and discretion.
