USA Diversity Visa Lottery 2024: The 2024 United States Diversity Visa Lottery (DV 2024) registration period is from October 5 through November 8, 2022. The Kentucky Consular Center will only accept entries made through the official DV Lottery website during submission.

After being randomly chosen in a computerized draw, 55,000 persons will receive green cards or permanent US residency through the Diversity Visa Lottery 2024.

DV 2024 Eligibility

There are two prerequisites that participants in the DV 2024 must fulfill to be accepted into the program.

1. Country of Citizenship

If you are not a citizen of one of these nations, you may participate in DV 2024:

• Vietnam
• Venezuela
• United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories
• Republic of Korea (South Korea)
• Honduras
• India
• Jamaica
• Mexico
• Nigeria
• Pakistan
• Philippines
• Bangladesh
• Brazil
• Canada
• China (including Hong Kong SAR) – Macau SAR and Taiwan are eligible
• Colombia
• Dominican Republic
• El Salvador, and
• Haiti

2. Education/Work Experience requirement

Participants in DV 2024 must satisfy prerequisites in either education or job experience. 

Although it’s OK to fulfil both conditions, you must do so for at least one of them.

Education: Candidates must have graduated from high school or its equivalent and earned passing grades in English and Mathematics.

Work Experience: Candidates must have two years of work experience in the last five years in a profession that calls for at least that much education or training.

How to register for DV 2024

By completing the Diversity Visa Entry Form (DS-5501) on the registration website, https://dvprogram.state.gov/, participants for DV 2024 can submit an entry.

After filling out the forms with your personal, passport, and family information (if applicable), submit your digital photo by following the onscreen instructions.

Include the names of your spouse and children in your entry if you are married and have kids when you submit the entry form.
At a later time, you won’t be able to include your children who were born when the entry was submitted.

After submitting the entry, print the confirmation that appears, and save it for September 2024.

The KCC is currently processing applications for DV 2023 winners.
African winners with cases up to 5700 were active and scheduled for interviews when this article was written.
